Designing an addition

We're in the process of purchasing a new home (well, hopefully). The current home is very small and has only a once car garage. We're adding a two car garage, master suite, and a basement under the master suite. Any suggestions for the shower? We're going with a factory built addition. The garage will be 28X24 and the master suite will be that wide (not exactly sure how long). Anyway, since the garage will be so deep it will contain a hallway with doors to master suite, basement, and garage. I currently use a scooter for distances but walk well around the home. I told the builders I'm not sure if we need a tub but would like a large shower with a nice, large seat. I'd like little to no step into the shower. Any other suggestions?

I would recommend you look into wheelchair accessible homes especially the bathroom. If you were to end up in a wheelchair because of a fall or idiot driver hitting you then you would have the home ready. Look at your prognosis as in what will your health be like in 10 years.

That is a good place to start and I so want that walk in bath tub. Ooh yeah, mine mine and mine, please.

There should be plans for the studs to be in place where a grab bar might go.

I like this vanity.

If you have cats then you might like this bathroom. Lol

Remember that there has to be a minimum of a 4” step up from the garage, so you will have a ramp issue is future conditions change.
