are there any discounts out there on making your own Christmas cards? We like to put the kids picture on the front for relatives we really never get to see. Where are you ordering yours from this year?:santa:

I just ordered 50 cards free. Go to freebies4mom & click on 50 free cards from seehere. They're fujifilm. I designed a cute card w/ my 3 kids on it & paid $0.00. Even got free shipping. (I didn't even have to input credit card info.) She lists the link & promo code there. I've never ordered from there but free is free so I'll give them a try.

updated with link: http://freebies4mom.blogspot.com/2009/11/50-free-photocards-shipped-free-too.html

I wasn't sure I could post the link but I just saw this same offer over on the weekly freebie thread on here.

Worth a try. I figure if I don't like them, I'll still have time to order from Walmart in store-they do same day.

I did this freebie and received my cards. The quality is good and the price is even better :thumbsup2

The offer ends 11/21 so order quickly.

I can't even get the site to load. Maybe it's being overloaded? I'll try later. I can get to the second screen and it freezes.

I'm on the site right now trying to get a card made, but the fonts aren't working properly. every font I choose comes up as arial, in a big size. Anyone else have this problem? Also, if you join the site and use the code print, you get 100 free prints in size 4x6.

I have gone to Costco the last several years for mine and have been very pleased with the price and the quality.

After you select a different font be sure to hit the update text button.

If anyone is interested in a custom digital scrapbook style design for your card, I do designs with your pictures that you can upload to any site to order prints. Feel free to PM me if you want more info! I made my cards the last few years and they came out really cute (if I do say so myself!).

I think the site is overloaded, so I just left it at the arial font. I got over it. lol I just wanted to get them done. lol. I might try again.

Although not the cheapest, artscow.com has make your own, you do your own layout, background, embellishments, you can use theirs or upload your own things. I was so pleased with it, just got my beautiful cards this week. I got 60 cards (and envelopes) for about $23 shipping included. They take longer to deliver but it's great having that freedom to make whatever you want!

I buy cards the year before at 50-75% off. Then during Thanksgiving weekend we take a family picture and I have Costco print 4 on a 5x7 sheet. I cut them and insert them in to each card. The pictures are wallet sized so the person receiving them can put them in their wallet if they want or throw them away (which is what most people do). The sheet of 4 wallets costs 39 cents so I get them for 10 cents a piece plus the cost of the card. Very inexpensive and the person can carry the picture around if they want.

winkflash usually has really good prices on cards, too. I would not use ArtsCow. I have gotten a few things from them and the quality was poor.

Labdogs, I'm writing your screen name down on my Christmas card list to remind me for next year! I had a friend in a mom's group who used to do this (custom design my cards and invites) for me (I paid her) and then I'd upload to Winkflash but she left the group and none of us can reach her. I needed a new 'source'! :goodvibes

But this year I jumped on the seehere.com 50 free cards deal. Mine have been shipped, should arrive today I hope. Another friend ordered hers a day or two before me and got hers yesterday and said she was happy with them. Same quality as Kodak Gallery or Winkflash or any of those.
