After 3 horrible sleepless nights this past weekend on a road trip , we have decided we cannot manage without separate beds and sleeping area for our kids.

Desert Palms or Castle Inn? Recommendations?

We usually choose the Anaheim Desert Inn for separate sleeping areas. Even if you just got a parlor suite, you would have a separate sitting area the kids could sleep in on the sofa bed. The earlier you book there the better the price.

We just got back from a weekend at the Castle Inn. The room was great! We had an Executive Suite on the second floor at the front of the hotel. The room was nice and large; quiet and clean. We were even able to park two large scooters in the room. We had two queen beds and on the other side of a half wall was a fold out sofa bed. If you look on their website, they show the floor plans of each room type.

One thing to note is you may want to bring a power strip. There are not a lot of plugs available for charging phones and other electronic items.

Desert Inn is pretty nice. We had the set up with 2 rooms. Room 1 was the standard hotel room set up with bed, desk, TV, fridge. Room 2 had large closet, bunk bed, queen bed and TV. Each room had an AC. We had 5 adults in this set up and were comfortable. Pleasantly suprised actually.

We stayed at Desert Palms last spring. Very clean and quite, breakfast was. But of a gong show but would stay again.

I can't compare, but we liked Palms. They have make-your-own malt-mix waffles there. mmmm.
