Has anyone stayed here?

How are the rooms and service?

How is the buffet breakfast and what times does it run?

Hows the walk to DL?

I would love to know the answers to your questions as well. I'm about to book our next trip & we're seriously considering trying it out.

I stayed here in January. It was only for one night so I didn't get to experience everything the hotel had to offer.

I booked a standard room for 4, but at check in was upgraded for free to one of the suites. It was plenty roomy with a drop down living type area past the beds with a pull out sofa bed, A small eating table, two TVs, a large bathroom, cold mini fridge and small microwave. Everything was really clean except for a large black scuff on the wall. The beds were a bit more firm then I like but not too bad.

I did not get to try the breakfast, but I remember it was held on the 5th floor from 7am to 11am I believe.

The walk didn't seem long to me at all, but I don't have small kids asking to be carried either. I'd say about 10-15 minute walk. Since it's on the same side of the street as California Adventure the walk goes quick. The only street you have to cross is the one for the Toy Story trams use.

We stayed in December for about a week and it was really nice! We ended up booking the yuhu kids suite (i believe is what it was called). But it had a room with a king bed a little table and nice closet, a pretty good bathroom, and a separate room with a bunk bed and pull out sofa. It was really nice and roomy for four teens. We actually arrived maybe 9-10 hours before check in really early in the morning after driving all night and they gave us a room to sleep in for a few hours until our room was ready. They ended up giving us the same room but it was a really nice gesture! :D
you can choose to have room service if you'd like and they do a pretty darn good job, but they threw away my jeans button! :O oh well... lol
And the parking is free for one car so that is a plus. Service is very good!

The breakfast was actually pretty good on the few days I had it. They had eggs, potatoes, waffles, pancakes, sausage, oatmeal, and then the normal "cold stuff" like cereal fruit toast and such. It is on the fifth floor form 7-10 I think once it was till 11.

The walk isn't too bad, but I too don't have kids so that can change perspective. The only time the walk was terrible when it was like 2 in the morning and we have been going since 6 :p
If the walk is too long for you the shuttle stops honestly right in front of the hotel so you can always hope on that! :D

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone

Wow sounds really good. We are down to this one and the HOJO which I know is popular here as well. The desert is a better price right now for when we want to go (end of may now). Looks like we might be picking this one.

Thanks for the replys.

So since the breakfast area is on the 5thfloor, is that the floor to avoid staying on?

How tall are your teens who were sleeping in the bunk beds? We are deciding between the suite you had & the one with the sunken living room. The prices are the same for both.

We liked it a lot! The walk wasn't bad even with our two kiddos. We loved the breakfast. The positioning of the breakfast area didn't strike me as 'bad' in location to rooms. I don't think it'd be bad to stay on the 5th floor :) Anyway, yes, the breakfast was fantastic and we got there early each time and had our choice of place to sit. It was nice to have a hot breakfast :)

The front desk was super nice/sweet/helpful. Our maids were respectful of personal property (which was EVERYWHERE a couple days..not gonna lie :P ) and did a great job cleaning. No complaints.

Pool is mediocre but good enough for us :)

Hello I am Rainasunshines BF the two teens were 5'11" and 5'8". We stayed on the 3rd floor was a very quite floor I dont suggest the 5th floor if you plan on sleeping in at all because there are kids that run up and down the halls. The breakfast room though is on the other end of the hall from rooms one of the fitness rooms and I believe some maintenance rooms are next to the breakfast area. Hope that helps!

I am planning a trip this summer with my neice and nephew. Im glad I read your post. I was trying to decide where to stay..I think it will be Desert Palms
