I was wondering, can you go into, say the Brown Derby and just order grapefruit cake, or do you have to order a whole meal? I would also like to try the peanut butter and jelly milkshake at Primetime, but don't know if we can do that.

You can get the grapefruit cake at Starring Rolls and the PB&J shake can be ordered in a "to go" cup at the 50's PT Bar -or- you can drink it right at the bar. I love the PB&J milkshake!

Theoretically, you can do that. What you might encounter though is a longer-than-you'd-expect wait for your dessert. Not deliberately, but once you order, the server won't immediately walk over to the dessert station and bring your dessert right over (s/he has other things to do at that time -- normally s/he's be placing your order with the kitchen, serving the entrees to another table, and then taking the dessert order for yet-another table, for example -- all that takes precedence).

I second going to Starring Rolls for your cake. That's what we do. Of course, for special occasions, we also have the recipe. Yum!

Of course you can! We booked a "dessert only" reservation at Castle back in the fall, before they changed the dinner menu to be a character experience. When we arrived, they had 2 tables put together for our group of 8, decorated with streamers and sprinkles. We were celebrating our daughter's birthday. The adults had cake & coffee, and the kids had ice cream sundaes with choc. crowns. We also got a free cupcake with a candle, and a birthday card for our daughter. I am delighted that we were able to do that, because we would never spend the money for the dinner character experience now, and the opportunity to eat in the castle would not be available to us.
