Has anyone ever stayed at the Desert Inn Suites on S. Harbor Blvd? If so,
How were the rooms? How far of a walk? :)

We stayed there just last month. Regular rooms but clean with a microwave and small refrigerator. Very close to the parks, just a 5 minute walk. Came in handy when the baby got cranky and needed to go back to the hotel.

Thanks Mrsheppo :) How was the breakfast?

Breakfast is pretty limited: Cheap wheat bread, pats of butter, cheap danish, corn flakes, Milk and Juice in a dispenser. The rooms are fine, and the walk is VERY close to the cross walk. From the front office it will take you 30 seconds to walk to the cross walk. We always get rooms right under the breakfast room but if you had a room in the back of the hotel, it could take you 3min to walk to the cross walk. It's GREAT if you need a large suite.

My family stays here every time we go and we think the price is right and all we do in our room is sleep and shower. We bring our own breakfast food and stay away from the free breakfast. The rooms are clean and the staff was nice. It was a quick walk to the park and it was the best to not wait for a shuttle at the end of the day or have a long walk back.

We have stayed there for our last 7 trips and would recommend it. Rooms are clean. Price is reasonable. The fact that the walk is so close to the main gates is probably the primary reason we stay. It makes it so easy to walk back and forth to your room for an afternoon break. There is also a small convience store downstairs in case you forget something. Nothing fancy but great for a place to shower and sleep.

As for breakfast, it's just basic continental stuff. We had groceries delivered from Von's on our last trip. That really worked well for us.

I've stayed there once, in 2004. I found the room nicely updated, easy to navigate, and they have a nice little gift shop w/necessity stuff. I actually do not remember having the breakfast there (as maybe we assumed we'd get our fill of food at the parks). Yes, I'd recommend this one, especially to how close it is to the park (pretty much right across the street!)
