I agree with the previous poster. My biggest negative is the pool. My nieces are fish adn we can't keep them out of the water and the pool sucked. We never get up for the breakfst so that was no concern for us. We just bought milk and ceral for the room. Location can't be beat though and if I find it cheaper than anything else I would book here again.

Not having been to DLR before, how is the walking distance to the ticket, gate, etc? Is it smart to leave the car at Desert Inn instead of driving to DLR? Safe? Do lots of people do it like this?

You are way closer parked here than in the DL parking lot! Its a very, very short walk to the front gate. We left our car parked in the lot for four days without moving it and had no problems.

Its one of the closest hotels to the front gate. 5-10 minute walk. Its the main reason to stay here. That and the fact that the suites are so affordable for a family of 5 or more.

Yes leave the car and walk. It's across the street at the entrence. From the driveway to security 5 min walk at best. That's the beauty of staying so close NO DRIVING
