We are booked and going to Disneyland!!!:cool1:

There are 8 of us total.

We are booked into the Parlour 2 Family Room.

I am wondering, is there a door between the 2 rooms? Is there a door between the 'living room' and the bed area?

Thanks!

I'm assuming you are referring to the C2. We have stayed in both the C1 & the C2 multiple times. :) The C2 has the main door to the outside that opens into a small "living room". From there is a door that opens into the area with the beds. Immediately upon entering that is a door on the wall that leads into the other room with 2 more beds. The hotel website does have floor plans of each room that you can check out, but they were not exactly true to the rooms that we have stayed in. HTH!

Ya, I found that the floor plans don't match the pictures!

So, in the C2, there are doors seperating the 2 'bedrooms' right?

We are going with another family, and want some privacy, but still want a living room kind of a place for the kids to hang out at.

Yes, the 2 'bedrooms' are seperated by a door. Just be aware (if privacy is important to you) that one 'bedroom' will be the walkway for everyone to get to the 'living room' and the outside.

You will have to let me know what the rooms are like. We are booked to stay there but won't be there until April. And I believe we booked the same kind of room.

Thanks.
Andrea

Well, we just got home from 9 nights at Desert Inn.

-breakfast was very simple-danish, oranges, toast, cornflakes, cheerios, oj, coffee, milk

-pool was good. It is indoors, which was nice for the rainy days

-it was clean, service was good

-small gift shop

-the room was good. Now, we had the C2 suite. So the one room is way bigger than the other. The room that has the 'living room' area is way smaller. The beds are about 12 inches from the wall on the one side. The bathrooms were fine.
Big room had--safe, fridge, microwave, blow dryer, armoire, desk
Small room had--coffee maker, desk
In the living room was a dresser, coffee table, tv, hide-a-bed couch. we didn't use the hide-a-bed as a bed, but as a couch, it was very hard!

One thing I didn't like is that when you turned on the bathroom light the fan went on right away, and it was super loud. So if someone went in in the middle of the night, it woke everyone up. Plus you couldn't leave the bathroom light on with the door ajar like we like to do. Small thing, but it bugged me!

All in all, the location totally rocked. For that reason alone, I would stay there again for sure.

THank you so much for the reviews!

We are headed there in 2 weeks for a 3 night stay and I was getting a little nervous about the comments I had read...

Looking forward to our stay:cool1:

We have stayed there on our last 8 trips. We always stay in the C-2 Family Suite. There should be ample room for 8 people. The layout on the DI website looks pretty accurate for all the rooms we have ever stayed in. There are only 4 of us that travel but my DH snores something frightful when he is extra tired so we have to have the extra room with a door between us to muffle the sound so I can get a good night's sleep.

How many bathrooms are in that suite? We stayed there in November and did 2 adjacent rooms because the price was amazing and we needed two bathrooms because DMIL takes FOREVER getting ready.

There are 2 bathrooms in the C-2 Family Suite. One of the really good reasons to stay there.

Definately. I think it was cheaper for us to get the adjacent rooms because there was only 4 of us and we were paying for DMIL

We paid $119 for T, W, Th, M, and Tues night, and $159 for F, S, Sun night.
It worked out to $625 per family for 8 nights, so including taxes, resort fees etc.. so it was $1251 total for 8 nights for 8 people for 2 rooms.

Not bad at all ! So its about $23 per person per day staying there. I say thats a deal especially since its so close to DLR. We're going to stay there when We go in May !

We've had this problem before at hotels so we try to remember to bring a nightlight. They're small to pack, not too expensive if you accidentally leave it, and it avoids tripping in the dark or scared kids.

I have pictures of this room in my trip report in my siggie if you want to take a look. We have stayed in the C1 and C2 and they are both great for big groups. Have fun!

Great, thanks for all the information. We are travelling from Australia as a group of 9 adults in August and will be booking into the Desert Inn C2 Suite.

We're excited and hopefully won't be spending alot of time in the room...

Good Evening,
My family of 6 are heading down in 11 days and are staying in a Parlor Suit A, is there going to be enough room for the 6 of us (3 adults, 3 children)?
