First off, a fresh squeezed glass of OJ at the Sunkist House. Then, over to Tomorrowland to take a leisurely trip around on the People Mover. Next, I like to sit back and watch America Sings. I could watch this show a hundred times! On over to Submarine Lagoon for an underwater adventure. Are those Mermaids up on those rocks!!?? It's starting to get a little hot, so I cool off in the air-conditioning of Circlevision and watch America the Beautiful. Wow, makes me feel proud to be an American. On the way out, I always love to glance up and admire the Mary Blair murals over the Character Shop. On to Mission to Mars to walk on the Red Planet. Then, it's just a short hop on the Skyway over to Fantasyland. The first ride I always go to and a favorite since I was a kid is the Motorboat Rapids! This is as close to owning a boat as I'll ever get! Ah oh, I've got to hurry over to Club 33 for lunch...a friend of mine has a membership and I just love the buffet! All of those dessert choices! I'm stuffed, but I can always force down a delicious pastry at La Petite Patisserie in New Orleans Square!
On over to Tom Saywer's Island (where I can spend half of the day walking through Fort Wilderness and climbing on the rocks and rope bridges!) Want some popcorn shrimp when I'm done, so I moosey up to the Harbour Galley and find me a spot by the water. "Wonder what the poor people are doing today?" I wonder out loud. "Probably having to eat McDonalds fries or something else wretched!" I exclaim!
Ah, this is the life.
Properly rested, it's off to visit the gang at the Country Bear Jamboree. Couldn't miss Rufus snoring in his cave on the way in! What a show! That's a classic! They'll NEVER take that one away! Is that the Mile Long Bar calling my name for a cherry turnover or a brownie and hot chocolate? Well, I've spent enough time in Critter Country...and it's getting late. Time for one of my favorites! I meander over to the Carnation Gardens to listen to some good ole' Big Band music. Maybe it will be Les Brown or maybe Stan Kenton! Hmmmm...I guess I'll go ahead and grab a burger and fries and a tasty milk shake while I watch the people dance!
That was over WAY too fast...oh well, just enough time to take a walk through Sleeping Beauties Castle before I head over to Big Thunder Ranch for an outdoor BBQ Chicken and Ribs dinner by the fire. This is Disney at it's best. The animals snorting and hoofing in the background add to the western charm as does the authentic "fiddlers and pickers" up on the stage tonight. Whoops! I gotta hurry! I'm going to miss the Main Street Electrical Parade and I certainly will have to boogie if I'm going to have a chance of getting a seat at the Carnation Cafe to watch the parade and to have a delicious hot fudge sundae. Hmm....I wonder if Bob is working tonight??
I don't believe it....my day is done already! Time to walk out to the tram and try to remember if I am in Bambi or MIckey tonight. You know,
Disneyland really is a magical place!
