Describe an unexpected great day in Orlando, an unplanned gem you have found.

We were at MK a couple of years ago, and it was quite busy. One of our DD's wanted to go back to OKW to the pool, and so did my DH and SiL. DS and other DD wanted to stay, so I said I would aswell. We had a really wonderful afternoon wandering around. We did all the smaller. not so popular rides that we hadn't done for years, and as I had kept everyones' passes, we got fast passes for all the rides that were busy. We shared a pineapple float, which we hadn't tried before, and went up into the treehouse; another first!!
The highlight of the afternoon was walking through fantasyland, and seeing Mary Poppins on the carousel! It was magical!!
Then in the eve, we all went back and used all the fast passes we had collected, and watched Wishes. Loved it!

Being chosen as family of the day at Epcot - We very nearly cancelled this holiday, as I had had shingles about 8 months before, on my leg, and it had done permanent damage to the veins etc making walking distances painful and swelling to three times it size, anyway got some really uncomfortable compression type bandages measured and fitted from hospital and decided that with painkillers could cope and on days I could not we would rest or hire a wheelchair.

This particular day, we arrived early at Epcot, and got into a queue with about a dozen people in front of us. We had only been stood there about 2 mins when a CM came and asked how many in our party - we replied 4 and he asked if we would like to be family of the day. Well I did not know at the time what this was but I wasn't going to say no. We got taken through and behind spaceship earth and got into a working car from Test Track, where a CM explained more about our day - we were the familly chosen to open the park, driven around to the rope drop in front of the Character bus, and once they were about to rope drop we were driven straight to Test track to be the first family to ride that day- unfortunatly the ride was down so they took us up to the GM lounge and we were spoilt rotten drinks, snacks etc we saw behind the scenes and then they came and gave us a voucher to walk straight on as soon as it was working and a free photo, also front of the line passes to Mission Space, Soarin, and one other of our choice, voucher for free ice cream and then to a special area to watch the fireworks that evening. We had an absolutely fantastic day which totally took my mind of my problems and although had to have a wheelchair for the fireworks managed the rest of the day fine - the boys still talk about it, a truly magical experience.

Disney turned a bad afternoon into a great day for us in 2007.
My son and daughter were playing in the play area in MGM when my son climbed up the spider web and fell he knoced a very large scab off his knee and there was blood everywhere he was wearing white shorts.
I took him out of the play area and got my little first aid kit out to clean him up the blood just kept pouring.

A cast member in the shop from where we were sitting came and asked us if we needed help i said yes,well within seconds a manager and 2 disney paramedics were at our side and took over.
The disney paramdics were fantastic patched my son up and gave me extra stuff to take back to the hotel with us to redress the dressing.
The manager had gone and got a pair of disney world shorts free of charge for my son to wear.
My husband and daughter had joined us by this time and the manager gave my daughter a voucher for 2 free ice creams.
We set off thanking them adn went and got a ice cream mickey each for them.
