It's been ages since I've been to San Diego in June, and I'm headed out there June 8-12th to visit my grandparents. I can see historical highs and lows online, and know about June Gloom, but can anyone describe what an average day "feels like?" Ie, is it cool in the mornings and evenings? I'm guessing it'll mostly be jeans and t-shirt weather, although I may plan to wear shorts to Sea World so they'll dry faster.

It is usually cool in the morning (due to the June gloom) but warm in the evenings. In June, I typically wear a light sweater/jacket in the morning and have a shortsleeve shirt on for the afternoon. Jeans throughout the day will be fine.:thumbsup2

Thank you! That was kind of what I was thinking, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't totally off base. Since it's such a short trip (Arrive late Mon night, leave early Fri morning) and my airline charges for checked bags, I figure I'll go carry-on only, which means I can't take my whole wardrobe. Honestly, skipping baggage claim at 10:30pm Pacific Time (which means 1:30am my time :scared1: ) is a good thing as well.

I think it's cool in the evenings, too - especially if you're any where near the coast - like Sea World. And if you're near the coast you may not get sun at all during the day. If you're inland it'll be warmer, and could be in the high 70s/low 80s. I'd bring long pants, t-shirts and shorts, plus a light jacket.

I know what you mean. I never know what to bring if I have to bring a small suitcase. I like to travel with my whole wardrobe too. :lmao:
