Really feeling sad and alone. Only thing that keeps me going is my daughter. Love her more than anything but raising her in my own is hard in do many ways. Just wish things were different. Holidays are really tough to make it through

It is a hard time of year indeed.. Sending you lots of love and hugs

Do you have any special plans for the holidays?

The holidays can be a sad time of the year for that reason...it brings back memories of the past and as much as want to go back in time and relive them...we cant...so cherish the memories of the past with people that are no longer around you.

You want to make sure your daughter has a wonderful loving experience so try not to show sadness to her. Allow her to build beautiful memories that she too will pass on.

I don't know your story...but sometimes planning something for the future...is something to keep your head up. In other words, think of things you have always wanted to do or try or visit that you can do in the new year as something to look forward to. It can be something like taking a class at the community center or taking a road trip for a weekend...or a challenge for yourself like becoming more fit (if you are not already).

If you are creative, sometimes sad times are the most creative times...if you write...write a story..can be fictional or non fictional...or paint how you feel...some people take dancing classes...take out your sadness in a healthy way.

Sorry you're feeling sad. It is a hard time of the year for a lot of people, missing loved ones who have passed, and those far away. Cuddle with your daughter, and enjoy her. Not sure how old she is, but as my DH always says "This Too Shall Pass".

I have not suffered from depression, but feel blue at times. I have a little cry and sometimes I feel better. I talk to myself and feel better.

If you feel like you are really depressed make an appointment with your doctor, or visit a clinic. Don't put it off. Serious depression is not something you can snap out of. If it is depression please seek professional help.

Hope you feel better soon.

This time of year is tough. I understand sadness. My dad is gone, loveless marriage( only stay because I don't make enough money to support myself. My daughter and I are having problems with our relationship due to her boyfriend. My son is the light of my life. I get up each morning for him. How old is your daughter? She needs you. Be strong for her. What state are you in? hugs

I am not sure what to type here.
I am feeling sad too. I guess it IS the season. I just focus on the past. I feel like I'm watching my own life from another view and how I got to the point where I am. I just feel like I'm aging every day faster and faster. I'm 27 and don't know what I want in life or where I am going figuratively. Most of the time, I just feel like I have to make a decision today on what I want down the road.

I just see the whole world as negative. People, things, and places. I have been through a lot. Suffered a lot because of people. I have been depressed and tried everything...
I'm alone too. I live with my parents. My brother lives out west with his fiance, all my cousins have someone...but i'm alone because I feel different. like everyone treats me differently because I"m over weight. But hey, that's my problem... I'm a person too.

Anyway, I know how you feel. Perhaps get your mind off stuff by baking...try baking new recipes off the internet. I have baked a few dz cookies. lol.
But it doesn't take my mind off my problems entirely... can you try talking to someone?
It seems like these days a lot of people are depressed or they wouldn't show those commercials on television ok2talk.org. if you want you can go to the website and call the number for someone to talk to.

I'm sorry i'm not too much help.

Thinking of you today and hoping you and your daughter are enjoying the day. The holidays can be difficult. I'm missing my dad alot today. Focus on making the day the best you can for your daughter.:)

I understand. I study psychology (in school for my Doc) and the holidays are always the roughest due to high levels of stress. The darkest days will always end and the sun will always rise
