We are thinking of going on our first cruise next September.

We are a family of 6, 2A 4C.

I believe I read that you have to put down a deposit of $200. Is that per person? Per Cabin? If per person does that mean we would have to pay $1200 upfront?

Thanks

It is $250 pp for 7 day or longer cruises....$200 pp for the 3 and 4 day cruises.

I look at it has a chunk of my cruise is already paid. And honestly...what would I make in interest if that money was in the bank.......a few bucks, maybe.

Thanks mmouse37.. I didn't know that the 7 day was more!

So, with the deal that DU has, it's going to cost us $4300 for the 6 of us, two staterooms, 7 day. Downpayment for 6 people would be $1500. Remaining balance due then would be $2800. Wow.. that's over a 1/3 paid for!!

Now, if we cancel/can't go we can get a refund right??

That sounds like a great deal...You receive 100% back if you cancel before final payment..IF not then you have to read all the details..Here is where it gets confusing..

200 per person on anything less than a 7 nighter, if a 7 nighter, then 250$ deposit, per person..

I booked a cat 3 on the Magic, it was $500.00 per person.

Sounds like alot, but its less to pay off!

We are a family of 6 and going on our first cruise ever this November. We booked it a long time ago, and got a cat 11 and 5 (across the hall from each other) and we paid 250 pp. And I am thankful that a chunk is paid off already! Have a great time, I think that the kids will love it! :cool1:

we put down $1000 when we rebooked onboard for the 4 of us. one down a few more to go :cool1:
