about how much is the deposit for the custom wedding? i'm relaxed about everything but the deposit (because i can't find it anywhere...) which i'm so nervous about... help! thanks in advance...

For a custom wedding the deposit is $1000.00

that's such a relief... we were worried it'd be 50% of the total cost or something outrageous like that! is it due when you sign the contract?

Yes - when you send your signed contract back to Disney you include the depost with the contract.

Just another quick comment about the deposit --
When you receive your final bill before your wedding, do not be alarmed that they have not deducted the deposit. They make you pay for the entire budgeted wedding (~30days, usually less) before the wedding. They hold your $1000 deposit separate. In the event that your wedding/reception costs run over the budgeted amount (for example if you do your bar "bill on consumption" and your bar tab is more than you estimated), they will take the money from your deposit and send you a check for the remainder. Also, if you are lucky like we were and overbudgeted, you will get your deposit back plus any extra that you may have overpaid. They were extremely prompt about refunding the deposit.....but this is one of the minor points that they ususally wait til the last minute to tell you about!
