Deposit Question For Booking Online?

hey guys! okay, i finally just got over the fact that i blew the lower price i found a couple of days ago for HRH and booked at the price now showing on universal's website. i booked early this morning before i lost this price and didn't want to wait for reservations to open. anyway, my deposit has not been charged to my credit card. my charges usually come off right away. has anyone had this happen?

also, the wording of the deposit was funny. when i booked via phone last year i only paid one night rate. probably a bad time to be asking this but is this true for online booking as well?

My online booking a couple of months ago was billed w/in 48 hours and was for 1 night.

I've noticed big discrepencies in booking online and over the phone. When I initially booked, it was over the phone and I was charged right away. I rebooked online and cancelled the phone res. when I saw the price went down. Its been 2 months and no charge. I really don't expect to see one now until after my stay.

The same happened last year when I booked Portofino online. I wasn't charged until about a week after my trip. When I booked Hard Rock in Dec, I was charged one night's deposit. Its really just odd.

My online booking that I made about 2 months ago was never charged a deposit...just like always.

The booking deposit seems hit or miss. I am always told I will be charged a booking deposit, but am actually only charged in advance of my trip about 50% of the time. Just booked PBH earlier this week. Have not checked on deposit.

I have never been charge the one nights deposit when booking online.

The last two times I've booked online I have not been charged until the day I checked into the hotel.
