Deposit only schedule flights?

Hi

Has anyone booked a deposit only for schedule flights? I have seen it offered and a few mixed reviews? People have booked, but no real feedback if flight prices increased etc...

Any feedback would be fab thanks

We've only paid the deposit on our flight with Virgin but we booked through Disney. The prices have gone up a lot since we booked but we just have to pay what it was when we booked them

Is that not a deposit on a complete holiday rather than just on a flight though?
We booked through my friends dad who's a travel agent, and booked the flight with car hire and a one night hotel stay so we could pay just a deposit. We probably overpaid a bit on the car hire but meant we paid a deposit of £150 rather than the £2700 up front for the flights

Yeh I wasn't sure if it was the same thing lol. We paid more than we would have for flights if we just went through virgin but was worth it do we wouldn't have to pay the whole thing at once

That's a good idea to look into one night stay with car hire. Any suggestions which company to use? Heard of dial a flight. Virgin are coming up expensive. Us airways are reasonable at the moment.
