Deposit for room only reservation?

We usually book a package deal with Disney, but for next May we are doing room only. I know with the package deal you put down a $200 deposit and the balance a month before your arrival date. With the room only is it the same deposit and the balance when you check in?

For every room only ressie I have made for the past 10 years the deposit is one night (per room) plus tax. The balance is due when you check in.

One of the nice things about this is you have up to 5 days before arrival to cancel and still get your money back.

This is great if you are unsure about whether the trip is going to happen, if something happens suddenly to make you rethink the trip (family illness, etc). It has always worked great for us.
