deposit for dollar hire car?

Does anyone know how much deposit Dollar require for a 2 week booking?

You might need to expand on that a little....

Are you booking direct with Dollar or through a third party company? And do you mean the booking deposit or security deposit at time of rental?

Don't know about a deposit but if you mean a security hold then they don't take anything you just need a valid credit card available.If any costs occur you pay on return of the car.

Sorry i wasn't very clear was I i haistily typed that as it flitted into my brain after a busy day!

We have already booked a package through TCD but understand that Dollar will take a card imprint when we pick up the hire car. I just wondered if they reserve a particular amount.

Ah I see... IIRC they won't block any amount from the card, they just take it for security as it's booked through a travel agent. Sign up for Dollar Express and ask TCD to add your express membership number to the booking details, saves you loads of time on arrival!
