Deposit/Final Payment

I am reading over my contract and it states that deposit and final payment have to be made out by bank check, personal check, wire transfer or money order. How come I can't use a credit card - i know when i was doing the escape package I was able to as long as it wasn't a debit card.

Does anyone know if I can use a credit card.

I was concerned w/ the same thing. I had them alter my contract to include c.c. payment and they said no prob. (I worked w/ Stacey Meacham)

You can use a credit card for the final payment. We didn't even have to change the wording in our contract.

For Wishes weddings, the only thing you can't use a credit card for is the deposit. Escape weddings can use a credit card for the deposit.

I paid my final balance with a credit card, I did not even realise you couldnt!! I paid my deposit by credit card but I think they where so desperate to get something from me they would have taken blood!! (I did book very late though so they may have made a exception without me even knowing)

using a credit card is so much better because if you get a refund at the end, you don't have to wait for a check to be sent to you, they automatically refund your card.

Yes! And you can earn Disney Dollars on your wedding if you have a Disney Rewards Visa!

One thing about that automatic refund, though: If they have more than one credit card number on file for you (like if your parents pay for part of the wedding or you use different cards at different times), be sure to check that they refunded the correct card....

Thank you everyone. I just got an email from Joe informing me that I can use a credit card for either the deposit or final payment!

Dang! I wish they'd let us use credit cards for the deposit back in the day - that's $15 in Disney Visa Rewards I coulda spent on Mickey Bars

Lol - that's exactly what we always say. I was commenting the other day about spending $8 on something (who knows what) and DH reminded me I could get 2 Mickey Bars with that money Of course by the time we get to WDW I'm always too busy to stop for one, or just had dessert with a meal, so it's rare that I get one, but money to me is all about mickey bars
