Departure Time

I have read so many different threads trying to find the answer to what I think is an easy question but I have had no luck. I am hoping the experts here can help!

According to the 3-day interiary, the Wonder returns to port during the early morning hours and we departure the ship at 7:35 am. Assuming we can't all leave at the same time and I believe we have to go through Customs, what is a reasonable time to arrange for shuttle pickup? We have plenty of time to kill since we have a late afternoon flight.

Any information would be greatly appreciated since the more I know, the better prepared I am to deal with my wonderful MIL!

The time you leave the ship depends on what dining time you have. I'm not sure of the exact times.....but of course, early dining has the first breakfast. I don't think the buffet is opened on disembarkment day.

We went to Disney World one year because our flight didn't leave until around 7pm.....what we did was checked the luggage in at the port, took the bus to the airport and then rented a car and took it to DW.....That way our luggage was already at the airport and we didn't have to worry about lugging it all around. I think even with all of that....we were at DW around 10:30/11:00 and left around 5 to give us plenty of time back at the airport.

I just read your post again........and now to answer your question!!! lol

If you get off at 7:35 I would say no later then 8.....it really is a breeze to go through customs......Just hand them your papers and walk right through......It will only take about 10/15 minutes to get your bags and go through....

Sorry for not answering your question the first time...i need to read more throughly!

We had breakfast at Topsider's buffet the last morning on the Magic. Although you're allowed off about 7:30 or so, you're not required to get off until a little later. We had a leisurely breakfast and avoided the rush.

Their goal is to have everyone off by 9 am. My cruise it took until 10:15 am, but I gather from most posts that 9 is the norm.

On our first cruise, we arranged for Town Car pick up at 8.

We were late. And had an unhappy driver.

We were unaware of the breakfast design for the last day.

If you have the late dinner seating, breakfast is served at 8 in the dining room you had dinner in the night before. They do not let you in any earlier. We could have ate at Beach Blanket, but we had not given our servers their envelopes with the tips.

If you have early dinner seating, your breakfast is served earlier than 8.

Luckily our driver stayed and waited for us. I've heard that other drivers will leave. I think we got off the ship by 9, rushing through breakfast. This year we'll ask for a later pickup.

This was the only delay, getting through customer was a breeze.

They had to drag me kicking and screaming from the ship at 9:00. We ate a liesurely breakfast at Topsiders and waited for most of the crowd to clear the Atrium before we headed out. We played ping pong and watched the dolphins swimming at port. When we got to our luggage, there were so few bags left that it was a breeze to find them and get through customs. Even then, we checked out bags, boarded the DCL bus and were at the airport at around 10:00.

My advice, don't rush unless you have to.
