What is your favorite deodorant for Florida weather? I used to love secret clinical strength solid. But either it has changed or I have. Need something better

So what do you use?

I'm a guy, so no Secret here...unless I run out and have to borrow my wifes'. I use whatever I have (tend to look for sales at CVS). I have found most of them work the same, with limited exceptions as I've found a few that don't work well at all. Speed Stick for instance.

Regardless of what you choose, anything will be better than those who chose not to partake in deodorant at all. We were "downwind" from one on Small World a few weeks ago. In that case, our world was a bit too small for comfort. :crazy2:

I live in SW FL and deal with what you vacation in everyday of my life, and when I go to the parks. I use either Secret or Degree solid, what ever is on sale. There have even been times I have gotten Suave. I am 59, use deodorant/antiperspirants every day and shower everday. I do not have a problem with odors. I do sweat all around my face and neck, but under my arms are ok. I also tend to sweat by my jeans waistband when at the parks. Maybe it's your body chemistry? Or foods you are eating???

I used Mitchum Men's unscented. At the store I compared the active ingredients in a variety and this one has the highest percentage, so I went with it. DH used the same, which was convenient. Also, I put it on before bedtime and again in the morning. That seems to be the difference with the clinicals so I tried it with this regular one too!

Certain Dri works well, too. I find that I can't use the same brand repeatedly or it loses some effectiveness, whether or not I'm in Florida. Since I started switching between certain Dri and secret clinical strength, I've been much more comfortable.

Oh, and I always use the clinical strength at night, too, per the directions.

For starters, you 'will' sweat if you are a 'sweat - er'!! And, I 'am'!! I don't change my deodorant, just use as normal and dh or I have never had any odor issues. It shouldn't matter where you are, whatever works for you just works - or not!

Could be foods, but people get used to their own smell, so I'm guessing you might be a bit whiffy and not know it if you've been sweating all day.

I carry a mini deodorant in my park bag to reapply. I buy them in the travel size section of my local CVS.

I find that my body gets used to certain deodorants so I switch them up each time. Clinical strength is pretty much as strong as it gets though right, maybe try a different brand of clinical strength? Have you looked into getting underarm botox?

I don't stink .....yet anyway. Thanks just wondering if there was some new favorite out there

I just wear what I wear at home. I avoid antiperspirant with aluminum and go with either Tom's of Main unscented or Every Man Jack unscented. I haven't had any trouble with either but I'm not really a big sweater unless I'm running or biking.

OK--this is now my favorite thread I've seen on the boards. It just surpassed "How much is tax on a Mickey Pretzel, I'm trying to budget" and "What shoes should I wear?"

Toms has aluminum in it.

When in Florida, I normally use whatever my normal current deodorant. I do try to stick to solids and if I am carrying a bag in the parks, I sometimes carry an extra deodorant with me, just in case. I once found myself soaked by a rain and although I dried quickly, I found I needed to reapply deodorant a couple hours later.

Ban Roll-On. I could use any old brand in the Pennsylvania winters, but for Florida and/or summer, it's Ban. The roll-on seems to work better than the solid type, imho.
Secret may be "made for a woman" but something in it makes me break out, so I avoid anything that looks like it on the assumption the manufacturer may be trying to match its formula.

Living here in Alabama, I sweat, and sweat a lot. The heat and humidity here can be just as brutal as in Florida.

I tried many deodorants over the years. The one brand that has worked the best for me is Arm & Hammer baking soda deodorant. This is the kind in the small stick and not the larger stick. It actually works all day and doesn't have an overpowering sent or a lot of alcohol that irritates my skin.

To go more all-natural and avoid aluminum, I switched over to Schmidt's a year ago and love it! As I like to say, I sweat carrying in groceries, so at WDW I can be quite the sweaty betty. I have found it in health food stores in my area, but you can also order online. It's a little pricier (about $8-$10) but I know several athletes who swear by it as well.
