Hi

Yesterday i went for my 6 month check up and was told i needed a filling, ok i said and he done it there and then.
My grumble is that usually when this is done they numb the mouth but he did no such thing just got on and done it.
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

My dentist usually asks you if you want to have an injection or if you want to have it done witout - me being a wuss has as many injections as he will give out!! :rotfl:

I've only ever had a filling without an injection if it has been a very small one.
My dentist always does it without asking usually though - but now he's gone private and charges us a small fortune for absolutely anything !!

My dentist automatically reaches for the injection without asking me. DH always gets any fillings without an injection. He says he gets a better filling that way.

My dentist always gives me an injection, the only time I haven't had an injection was when a filling fell out and he re-filled it.

they usually give you an injection if they are drilling near the nerve ending.

Personally, I think i would prefer the injection in my arm when getting my purse out to pay :lmao: might numb the pain.

I spend £120.00 on family check -ups, and had to pay in advance for 2 fillings and hygenist!! I really object to paying in advance for a turn in ...THE CHAIR :scared1:

I wasn't given the option of the injection and yes he was drilling as i felt everything.
i think i'm off to find another dentist.

Thanks for your replies
