Dentist Question - Came up on Instagram

Definitely keep my eyes closed. I didn't know this was optional

Mostly eyes open. I usually watch the tv that’s mounted on the ceiling above me.
But sometimes my Dentist’s head gets in the way. Lol.

Not a bad option if they’re easy on the eyes.
Plus I’m not even sure if the dentist can see my eyes, with the tinted glasses they give me to wear.

I am so surprised everyone so far is eyes open. My dentist must think I'm a weirdo!

My husband is a dentist (also easy on the eyes ) and I asked him what his patients do and he says he doesn’t know because they are wearing dark glasses and he is wearing loupes that magnify the mouth so his field of vision while working is limited. So I don’t think I really matters to your dentist if your eyes are open or closed it’s whatever you are comfortable with as they know most people are never happy to be in the dental chair to begin with.

Closed, sometimes that bright light they shine into your mouth gets sidetracked and is flashing on the eyes

Always open. Honestly never occurred to me to close them.

I've also never heard of wearing dark glasses at the dentist.

Sounds relaxing, and shouldn’t be a problem, as long as you sleep with your mouth open.
