Hi everyone , arrived yesterday at OKW, today my crown that was fitted a month ago has come out. I have the crown, so that's one relief , but assume I need a dentist to refit. Does anyone have any feedback on a local dentist that will (hopefully)be available tomorrow to refit many thanks in advance

The first thing I would do is ask at Concierge - they have a list of local medical facilities.

My crown came off at the Boardwalk and I found the staff were pretty helpful! I ended up having to go to downtown orlando the next day to fix it :) lost a day of the holiday and it cost a few hundred $$ but I claimed it back on insurance. This was ten years ago though :)

Thanks, I still have the crown so hoping it isn't that major , but I'm sure it still will cost $$ rather than $$$. Now to check my travel insurance small print.

I've lost count of how many times I have had a crown fall out.....although I have quite a few :). It's just a case of cementing it back in should not cost too much

I really hope you get it sorted fast!

Mine was probably more expensive as it had to be rebuilt as the nerve was exposed. Not fun! So hopefully if they can stick it back on it won't cost too much :)

I remember in 2010 my first day my crown broke in half. I did post on here on my TR at the time. Have you looked in the okw shop? They had a dental repair kit which I bought. I had to use it every 3 days to restick it in but coped. Just did not smile very much as it was my front middle tooth. I think you may be looking at $100-150 to hv it repaired at the dentist though. Hope u get it sorted

Hi, when this happened to me, my insurance company told me which dentist they wanted me to visit. It was in Celebration and I can't tell you how pleased I was with the service. Unfortunately my crown had broken so couldn't simply be put back in place but they fitted a temporary one within 30 mins of me arriving and a week later they fitted an excellent porcelain permanent one. It cost me $800 but I got most of that back from my insurance company.

Hi all,
Thanks everyone for your help, just wanted to update in case anyone else is in the same boat.
The front desk recommend advanced dental care, http://www.adc-fl.com. They have branches around Orlando, the Vineland clinic which is closest was still having time off for New Year? The central appointment call centre got me an appointment for 1pm today , three hours from the time I called, try doing that in the uk at W Colonial, 12 miles away.

I have to say dental treatment in the US is a little different to what I was expecting, first I had an X-Ray , then the senior dentist looked at my crown , looked at the hole in the tooth, and the X-Ray and asked the second hygienist to remove all the existing cement., whilst she went off to the next patient. Then I had another X-Ray withe the crown back in pace with no cement, which the senior dentist looked at , and then said ok lets glue this back in. Once glued, I had the third x-Ray of the day to check all was ok. After a quick clean and polish around the tooth I'm good to go..

Just the bill to pay...... Now that was a shock $117. I have to say I expected more , I was in for 45 minutes, three X-rays , 1 dentist, 1 hygienist.

Now back to trying to get fast pass + and dinner reservations booked on the iPhone

If anyone's interested I'm here at OKW ,then move to hilton DTD,then to the boardwalk, and finally BLT, just need the rain to stop.

Glad u got it sorted. Rain not good but forecast looks better so enjoy. X

Wow $117 that's about £75! My NHS dentist charges more than that for hygienist and an xray! Hope you can claim it back, too.
