Went to the dentist Friday. He didn't use the traditional novocaine. Something through the roof of my mouth but, no long needle penetrating into my sinus cavities or, through the front of my gums, etc.! It took longer but, it worked on only the inside of my mouth & gums, not my face at all. It worked fine for the procedure but, it did wear off like traditional novocaine and, it might have been novocaine but, the application of it was different this time.
My question is this: Why does the roof of my mouth still hurt??
And, in spots where the 'needle' didn't even enter? He only 'poked' one spot and, applied the anesthetic by turning, I guess. I've had 3 different areas on the roof of my mouth slightly painful the past few days.
What the heck is this stuff?
