Dense Fog

I have noticed dense fog advisories recently for Orlando. Starting to rethink the whole rental car idea with thoughts of driving in dense fog at 4:30 a.m. on way back to airport. We arrive today and fly home on Tues. Is that a silly thing to ponder?

I would not say morning fog is common - but we have had it several days this week. It usually forms around sunrise when it forms.

This morning when I took the dog out at 6, it was still dark and the sky was clear. It was not until the sun began to peak that the fog formed, sun rise was 7:07. Right now there is limited visibility - 7:54. Typically it only lasts a couple of hours.

At 4:30 - you'd probably be ahead of the morning fog formation.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. Our drive back to the airport will be about 4:15 so sounds like we'll be ok.

take 417, there is less traffic to worry about if it is foggy at all

I agree 100% with what Capt_BJ said. Usually fog comes right at dawn so at 4:15 you should be fine.
