We've got a show running on tv over here at the moment called Celebrity Big Brother and Dennis Rodman is one of the housemates.

Five days in and all he's done so far is not say a great deal and sniff around all the women in a manner suggesting he's absolutely desparate for sex.

I must admit to not knowing anything about him apart from the facts he dated Madonna and used to play basketball. What is his status in the US? Is he a national hero or a bit of an oddball?

He was a fair professional basketball player back in the day . . . led the league in rebounding.

But he was more well-known for his off the court antics, such as the affair with Madonna, and wearing a wedding dress, and once marrying Carmen Electra.


Methinks he's doing a publicity stunt . . .

Status in US? Obscurity.

I adore Dennis Rodman. He was an excellent basketball player, like Deb said he led the NBA in rebounds.

In his day he was known as a troublemaker off (and on) the court. After he left the NBA he did some pro wrestling.

Pretty much everyone thinks he is a freak. Now he's probablly more know for being weird than being an NBA star.

He's pretty irrevilant in the US now.

Yes, back in the day he was a great basketball player. He has done some pretty crazy things since then to say the least.

I did watch him in the last edition of Celebrity Mole...I was shocked..he came across as an airhead, but won the whole thing....smarter than I gave him credit for!
