Looking into trading our points for an option not Disney. Want tropical, relaxing and enjoyable for us and the kids (ages 7 & 9) Searching the DVC site found this resort. I am just beginning my looking but this jumped out at me.

Anyone been here, have any info on this resort?
Thanks

The plane fare is gonna jump out at you too!! Just kidding, I don't know what the fare is, but imagine it's considerable.

I personally have always wanted to go there. It sounds like the ultimate for "Romance". Don't tell my wife I said that, she might expect more from me than I can deliver.

Have a great vacation, regardless of where you dicide to go!

At least we are traveling from CA and not FL. I know it will be a tad bit less.... but maybe I should check out sample air fares too.

Thanks for thinking of that.

Don't know the resort, so I can't speak for quality or availability.

However, Fiji is wonderful. The island is large enough to have two substantial cities plus a lot of plantation areas and wilderness around them. It was run by the British for several generations, so it's comfortable for English speakers. A lot of excellent hotels have rooms with only 3 walls; the fourth is simply a wood screen that rolls down to keep out rain.

Yes, the plane flight is go-nuts long. And you can't see any land for a thousand miles as the plane descends, so it feels like you're going to slide wheels-down into the drink.

My darling hubby is from Fiji - left when he was 5 but he can tell you lots about the country. The people are rated to be the friendliest in the world and very hospitable - believe me - I know - I married one!
We also operated a travel agency that specialized in tours.
It has a ery interesting culture and if you are looking for paradise - you will find it. If you have more questions - feel free to PM me.

Worldmark has a very good reputation and the reviews on TUG are very positive. I'd suspect air of $2000 or so per person or close to it. Go for it if you can work it out.
