I've tried looking on the WDW website but so many of the rooms have 5-6 layout varieties. Other than Polynesian, are there any Deluxe resorts that have a booking category that guarantees 3 sleeping surfaces for a party of 4? My kids hate sharing a bed, so we need a queen plus 2 additional beds for them. We loved Caribbean beach last time with the drop-down sleeper but we want to try a Deluxe this time. We'd like to be at one of the Epcot resorts but not if we can't get a 3rd bed. Double bonus if it also gets a guaranteed patio as we like to sit outside after they've gone to bed.

You could narrow it down by looking for rooms that sleep 5. Those are all going to have a 3rd bed surface
If you aren't booking a package you can even create a 5th person (under 18 to avoid added adult charge) to include in your room. This will ensure they give you a room with a 3rd sleeping surface
I believe in all but like 2 rooms (approx) at BWI they have a day bed but they are about to begin a remodel so that could change
YC/BC almost all have day beds that I've seen but am not 100% on the numbers there.

You could book a Deluxe Room at Beach Club - that gets you two queens and a queen size pullout sofa. Not directly in the EP area, but you could book a 1-bedroom at Riviera - that gives you a king bed, a queen Murphy and a small, pull-out under the TV (bonus washer/dryer and full kitchen). You could also book a 2-bedroom at BCV which would give you plenty of beds and space. You could call Swan/Dolphin directly and price out connecting rooms or a two-bedroom suite (which sometimes comes out to about the price of one room at Poly).

We are a party of 5 plus 1 under 3 and we stay every year primarily at Yacht or Beach club. We always get assigned a room with 2 Queens and a day bed. The daybeds are the size of a regular twin bed and very comfy. The Poly, GF, BWI and CR all have this same room configuration. Only the AKL and WL hotels sleep 4 only.

Bay Lake Tower's studios are also a 4 person capacity in the deluxe category; a queen bed and a foldout couch. I think your best bet for searching is to enter in a third child (make the age over 3) in your search, as it will exclude rooms with two beds from your search. You'll want to edit your party size before you actually book, but this will help focus your search on hotels and rooms that will actually work for your family. I've never understood why this is so difficult in hotels; you should book based on the number of beds.

Universal makes this easier since they do offer rollaways.

We stayed at Beach Club in 2021 and specifically requested the room with the daybed when we booked. Our kids are too tall and too old to share a bed anymore. We stayed off-site the night before check-in and when I did the online check-in, I selected an arrival time about 9:00. We went to BC that morning and I went to the front desk and told them I wanted to verify that the room that was slotted for us had the 3rd bed. They were able to pull up the room assignment, even though it wasn't ready yet, and tell me that it did.

All of the DVC studios at Boardwalk or Beach Club will have three sleeping surfaces and a balcony/patio, except maybe I think a couple don't have balconies at BW? You could rent DVC points.

I would definitely go with a studio at BCV or BWV if your kid doesn’t mind the pull down bed. And you’ll have a balcony. You could do either cash or rent points.

We did a studio once on rented points and I definitely missed having the kitchenette with toaster and microwave this past trip.

It’s a request only if you aren’t a party of 5. To guarantee either be a party of 5 (will cost as each person over 2 adds to the cost) or go DVC. Renting points can save you money but Disney offers cash rates as well if you don’t want to rent points from someone.

Each person over 18 adds to the cost as long as you’re booking room only and not a package. An additional person under 18 does not increase the cost of the room.

Kids don’t cost more
only more than 2 adults cost more
you can have 10 kids without paying more

Riviera does. Pretty sure every category of rooms does. Studios and 1bdrm both have 2 queens and the pull down under the tv

we have booked deluxe rooms at boardwalk and that would really be ideal. Our kids are the same way. We need three sleeping surfaces as well. We’ve never not had a daybed at beach or yacht club but there are rooms without. I like previous posters idea about adding a 5th guest for room only. Buy tickets separately and link them.
