Deluxe w/best access to Swan/Dolphin

I have a friend at WDW right now. She doesn't feel comfortable staying along at Riverside, and she wants to move to another hotel tomorrow. She's there for a conference being held at the Swan/Dolphin, but they say there is no availability there.

what other resort has the best access to the Swan/Dolphin?

Yacht Club, Beach Club and The Boardwalk are all about a 5 minute walk from the Swan/Dolphin. Availabilty may be an issue with Food and Wine going on at Epcot

As pp mentioned the yc, bc and BW are closest but also more than double the price of POR and even S/D.

I have stayed solo at WDW and never felt unsafe at any point.

Still, if she is uncomfortable and can't get a room at an Epcot resort (or doesn't want to spend the additional $) perhaps she can move. I would ask to move to a preferred room at POR closer to the main building, amenities and bus stops or over to POFQ which is much smaller and has a cozy feel.

I stayed at Riverside, in the mansion section. I asked to be in the building closest to where you check in and where the restaurants are. I still felt uncomfortable walking alone in the dark to get back to the mansion. If that's what makes your friend uncomfortable, then she's going to want a hotel where all of the rooms are in one building, rather than being in separate buildings.

Other people mentioned Yacht Club, Beach Club and Boardwalk. Don't forget about the Beach Club Villas and the Boardwalk Villas.

I checked disneyworld.com, it would not let me check tonight but for tomorrow night Boardwalk Villas and Beach Club Villas are open but it's $444 a night incl tax. Boardwalk Inn, Yacht Club & Beach Club are not available.
