Deluxe Room HRH or not?

Has anyone stayed in both the deluxe room and standard room at the Hard Rock Hotel? We stayed at the Portofino last year and had a wonderful deluxe room? Are the rooms comparable? Is it worth the extra price for a deluxe room at the Hard Rock vs a standard one at the Hard Rock? We'll have 4 in the room (2 adults and 2 kids). Also, is there a separate shower in the bathrooms?
