Are there no discounts anymore? Looked under Annual Passholder and Florida Resident and no discounted rates for the deluxe hotels. Tried June and August. Is it too early, too late?

Universal generally releases rates 1-3 months before dates. No announcement. They are used for rooms they can’t fill and lately they have been few and far between. I ended up paying rack rate one night for my May trip because it was cheaper than the AP rates. They only released AP rate for the suites and above for my dates. It can be tough to find good rates at the top 3 lately so you have to check often to see if someone cancelled. Though during the pandemic HR was under $200 a night which was great.

Yes, this is what I was worried about, I don't see any AP/FL rates for any of the resorts now, so hopefully its too early. The different between deluxe and not deluxe is huge. I don't remember it being like that before when we went in 2018 and 2019.

I would just say not to hinge your trip on a getting an AP rate. It’s been really spotty for several months. I had a ST rate for December, thinking I would swap it when APH came out. Well it never did for our dates (or so few rooms I missed it) and I was so glad to have ST rate!

We bought an AP last summer with the hopes of using the AP rate to help break even. We knew we were going to need 2 rooms to house 7 people and get xpress passes this summer. Spent like 1260 for 2 queen club level rooms for this summer and had given up on AP rates for this Summer (Week after Memorial Day)

But managed to score an AP rate today at Portofino for a room that sleeps 7. So we ended up saving about $500. Thankfully we already have a rental home for the week knowing that not all of us would stay overnight.

Going forward we would NOT buy an AP with the AP hotel discount being the "cost-saving" measure. I really think we just lucked out!

I just booked for Feb/23 and could only find a Savvy Traveler discount for Portofino, nothing left at all for RPR (didn't check HRH). Of course AP rates not out yet that far in advance, but I would say ST you need to get early.
Where can I find a Savvy Traveler rate? Can you link it please?

No link. It just shows up if it is available. Usually for longer stays, sometimes at least 3 nights, sometimes 4. I have one for Cabana Bay in August, website looks like this - (if you click on it it shows both rates)
