Deluxe Pools VS Value pools???

My friend thinks I am nuts but I think the Deluxe pools are warmer than the value pool. For example......one cold November we were staying in the AllStar Sports and the water was to cold to swim in even on the warmest day. On the coldest night we were there we went and ate at the Cape May Clambake and walked around and looked at the pool (it is our dream hotel) and the lifeguards were wearing overcoats and gloves but the water was warm enough for people to be in it. Please let me know if anyone else has noticed this or am I as crazy as my friend thinks I am. :confused3

I haven't been to a value for a long time (1997), but after our stay at the Poly this past April I think you may be right. I could not believe how overly warm the pools were there, I almost couldn't take it! I like to feel a little refreshed, not hot.

I do remember at the All Star Sports in 1997 that the pool had SO much chlorine in it that our eyes just burned...plus add in all the people and it wasn't much fun...

the pools at SS this past july were almost hot. you had to go into the hot tub first and then go into the pool so you could cool off

when we were there 2 weeks ago, the WL pool and the quiet pool at OKW were bathtub warmth....we didn't swim at the contemporary...

All of the pools are supposed to be heated to the same temperature, however, with some of the newer deluxe pools being of the zero entry variety, the sun can heat the more shallow end sooner. Personally, I have never noticed the difference.

Why does Disney heat their pools year round anyway? In the summer months they should just leave 'em alone!

I thought I read somewhere like, a trip report here, that Disney tries to cool off the pools in the summer. Someone reported that the pool was warm, and a lifeguard said the pump used to cool the water was broken, that's why it was so warm. They must know they don't need to heat the pools in June, July, and August!
