First time to go on DCL this coming Jan '17. Is there really a different for paying $366 more for a Deluxe Inside Stateroom that sleeps up to 4 people on deck 7? For a little bit cheaper you can get the exact same room size and accommodations on deck 1 or 2 for $366 less. This is out of Galveston, Texas on Disney Wonder. Please help....

often higher decks are more in demand-closer to pools etc. Some love deck 1 or 2. Realize deck 1 has few rooms and I think can only access one set of elevators., but it's quiet! The A, B, C designations indicate ship location in general. I've stayed inside deck 2 midship on Magic (sister ship to Wonder-same General layout) in a 10B and we were happy with this location (2A, 2C). I've got an inside aft deck 7 booked on Wonder next (this is a cat 11 as it is only one child and myself for that sailing so smaller room ok).

We will be staying on Deck 7, Standard inside stateroom. From all my reading, I've gathered the best floors to stay are 6-8 for location and motion sickness. The rooms could have been cheaper on Deck 2 for us as well, but I didn't like the location of the staterooms personally.

We've always stayed in insides and upgraded to 10A's to be on the higher decks. We hate waiting for the elevators so prefer the higher decks so we're more centrally located. That way we just do the stairs up or down to food and activities. For us the $300+ is worth it.

I have stayed on about every deck, and deck 2 is my favorite if I can't have a verandah. I have found Cat 9C's to be about the same cost as a 10A. If your going to spend the extra I would get a porthole room on Deck 2. If your near the Aft or forward elevators there is very little wait time on a elevator. I like being by the aft elevators. It's only 1 deck up to the activities on deck 3 and 1 deck down to disembark. We were upgraded to Cat 10A deck 5 secret porthole room on our upcoming cruise. You might want to see if one of those is still available. I have never stayed in an inside room. I thought this was going to be our first cruise in one, but no DCL had to go an give us a porthole.:)
