Deluxe get faster service for ME

Last time DH and I were in Disney we took ME for the first time (Sept 2009). We noticed that people who were staying at Deluxe resorts were put on the ME buses immediately rather than waiting like those in the Value line.
Do Deluxe Villas/Resorts get VIP service with Magical Express? Part of me wants to go deluxe just to avoid the line up at the airport

No it doesn't work that way.

On my last trip using DME we were staying at the AKL. We didn't get faster service, we actually got slower service as they dropped off passengers at CSR and the All-Stars before dropping us off.

Did you load faster at the airport? that seems to be where the real wait is! Also, are buses more frequent and/or less crowded than value buses?

Not at all in the loading or drop off order in my experience.

I've stood in line heading for a Deluxe resort and watched the POP and AS lines emptied more than once while we still waited. When we stayed at AKL we stopped first at POP.

I think your experience was just a matter of what was filling up at the exact moment you were there.

We stayed at the Yacht Club and had the longest wait.

We were going to WL, with stops at Poly, GF & FW. After we got in line, it seemed like all the other lines got buses before we did. :confused3 We didn't really care, since we have 3 children and were planning to just relax our way through the vacation, anyway:goodvibes

I seemd to notice that the Deluxe resorts get bus stops closer to the park entrances when using park to resorts transport - No real complaints about that though

Not necessarily. At Disney Studio the first stop as you come straight out of the park is for CSR. Coming out of Epcot the first three stops are CSR, POFQ, and PORS. However, the stop for CBR is all the way past those and on past the little covered area where the coke machines and benches are, then turn right, and go past a couple of the All Stars stops, then finally you get to the CBR stop.:confused3 At AK the AKL stop is directly across from the CSR stop. One is just as close as the other. At MK the PO stops are down at the end of the first section, but CSR is way on the other side, past all four of the All Star stops and just before the Pop stop. Coming out of the Marketplace in DTD PO and OKW share the first bus stop, CSR is further down, and the Epcot area resorts and AKL are alot further down.

Nope, they just got lucky. I've had my longest waits for the DME bus in a deluxe/DVC resort line. It's just luck of the draw.

Nope, not always. There is little rhyme or reason to the way the stops are laid out.

The only advantage deluxe resorts have, transportation-wise, is that they have alternative modes of transportation to at least one park, sometimes two parks. They don't rely on buses for all parks. And that's the only difference.

This would apply to all of the deluxes except for AKL, which relies on bus transportation to all parks.

Now I have a reason to go back and check. Last time I stayed at POP and used buses, It always felt like I was the last stop (again no complaints as a value customer).

What I did like about POP was the nonstop service to the parks (except AK with a stop at Bilzzard Beach) but I guess that will change when Art of Animation opens.

Walks to far stops or not, i still contend, at least from POP, that Buses are best for MK but a car is useful for the other parks and particularly useful for dinner at Boardwalk and DTD

The bus stops for POP at Epcot and MK are about as far away as you can get and still be at the bus stop area...true. But at DHS the stop is really pretty close. Same thing at DTD. AK it's not bad, not great.

Completely not true; I used DHS to make a transfer from POR to GF and GF was the second to the farthest stop from the entrance.

This is one of the biggest reasons why DH refuses to stay at Pop anymore. :lmao:
