Which deluxe is best for a 7 year old, It is for a birthday surpise so can't ask my dd which she would prefer. The grand flordian is out of budget. We have not stayed at any before however have visited them all, I am leaning towards Beach Club or Poly? any opinions welcome?

WL because of the feeling like you are staying in a log cabin and it is also more kid-oriented.

We're doing a surprise 5th birthday trip for DS and I'm going with Beach Club. He always loves the pools and slides at the other resorts and wants to spend more time there than we would like. So for his birthday trip, we're staying at the hotel with the best pool and letting him spend as much time there as he wants. He loved the pool at Poly, too, though.

My vote is for the Poly. There are lots of things there for kids to do (the Keki Corner in the Great Ceremonial House) plus the volcano pool is awesome! From the pool at the Polynesian you can swim and see the castle and the fireworks at night. :cloud9: Plus there's the beach as well.

if your daughter loves

pool - BC, BCV, YC
Africia animals - AKL
american wildlife & outdoors - WL, VWL
modern with a monrail going thru - CR
Hawaii - Polyn
nightlife - BW or SSR (PI)
old florida - OKW
carribean - CBR
old south - POR or POFQ
west - CSR

bunk beds - WL or AKL or FW

good luck!

I would go to the boardwalk. One day get to the main pool before it opens, they choose one kid to be the kiester coster kid. They gave my son a clown wig, nose, glasses and rings and sent him dowd the slide first for the offical opening.

I agree with the above poster to go with your daughter's taste. My kids aren't 7 yet, but right now at age 4 the most important thing to them is the pool and sand; therefore, they love the BC. They are content and happy anywhere else also, but they always mention "next time can we stay at the Beach Club" and when I ask "why" they comment they love the sand and pool and ice cream store (Beaches & Cream).

Hi, I have decided the Poly for 7 nights as DD loved the beach when we went to Ohana for dinner and will love riding the monorail to MK. I love Ohana and Kona Cafe too.

It sounds like Poly is a good choice then, I think she will really like it. We stayed at AKL when DS was 7 and he is really into science, animals, nature and that was the perfect fit for him. He enjoys going to Poly to Ohana and watching the ELP from the beach there.
