Deluxe Dining Plan - please explain kids' TS!

We currently have the DxDP and, in looking at the kids' TS selections, I notice most menus list kids' appetizers, kids' entrees, kids' desserts and kids' Mickey check meals (which appear to be an entree and dessert?).

I'm just wondering, with DxDP, can my DS order an appetizer, an entree OR a Mickey check meal and a dessert? Or, if he orders a Mickey check meal, is he no longer able to order an app and dessert?

Your DS will get an app..usually soup,salad,carrots/celery,fruit and then his entree and a dessert and drink. If he orders a Mickey Check meal it's the meal which includes dessert (usually fruit) and an app and drink

Not sure how old your child is but for our last trip I was able to change my child's age and upgrade her to adult so she could order off adult menu. The cost was minor to upgrade and was worth her having more options.

The cost doesn't seem to me to be all that minor to upgrade unless you upgraded to deluxe from a free dining offer, there's a big cost difference per night between the adult deluxe and the child deluxe.

The Mickey Check meals are usually made up so that they "include" the appetizer, and it's the same meal they would have gotten on the regular plan - they don't get anything extra. They won't get to order an appetizer from the adult menu. Maybe some of the third party restaurants will allow it if they have no options at all for a child's appetizer, but not all.
