Hello!

This is my first time using the dining plan, and I chose to purchase deluxe.

I was wondering if soups or salads can be ordered in place of an appetizer...specifically I was wondering about

Flying Fish--Fresh Mozzarella di Bufela salad

Also, I know that non-alcoholic drinks are included--so I know that this includes soda, but does anyone know if it could include a vanilla coke at 50's prime Time cafe? Or if iced tea would be an option at most table service restaurants?

Thanks!

Yes, you can get salads as an appetizer.

Yes, the vanilla coke counts as a beverage.

Yes, iced tea counts, and I can't think of any TS restaurant that will not serve you iced tea.

I think Prime Time will occasionally allow a milkshake as a beverage on the DxDP.

I love the Dx plan. Enjoy!!!!

All good info.

Just an FYI-Some places will count milkshakes, smoothies and other non-alcoholic beverages as well...while some will ONLY count soft drinks and iced tea

Holy cow! So it's possible to have a milk shake AND a dessert in the same meal? I better buy some new clothes in a bigger size for when I get home from this trip!

:thumbsup2:lmao:

At Sci Fi, my DH, DS (5) and I split an adult credit and ordered a burger OOP.

So DH got a milkshake as his "drink" and DS and I had a milkshake that was really DH's dessert. Then DH had his burger and DS and I shared a burger.

When we ate there in 2009, I did drink a milkshake with dinner (sandwich) and then ordered dessert (cheesecake, I think)...I didn't eat all the dessert...we won't talk about how much weight I gained on that trip :lmao:

Some restaurants will allow non-alcoholic "specialty beverages" (like milkshakes and smoothies) to serve as your allotted beverage on DDP. Some restaurants won't. Via Napoli, for example, does not allow any of the listed specialty beverages as a DDP beverage. Also note that beverages served in a souvenir cup and/or accompanied by glow novelties are not included in DDP.
