Hello everyone! I am a HUGE coffee drinker (probably more so than I should be). Anyways we will have the deluxe dining plan on our next trip and I am just wondering about coffee for our breakfast places. Can u just get a cup and does that go towards 1 persons meal? Or do the places have pots that are good for 2 people? My husband is not as much as a coffee person as I am so not sure if he would want to do a pot if it uses his drink entitlement. He's more of a juice guy. If I can get a cup are u allowed refills? Also do any places offer flavor coffee or is it just your regular coffee? Thanks for the help!

Each person gets their own drink. DH drinks coffee and I like Diet Coke for breakfast and we've always been able to get what we want on the dining plan for breakfast.

If you just get regular coffee, I believe you do get free refills. If you get espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte, or something like that, then there would be no refills. If you don't get enough coffee with your breakfast, just use one of your snack credits at one of the Starbucks for a venti something or other later in the morning!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I will prolly get regular coffee in the am and then a flavored coffee later on from Starbucks if need be lol...here's another question does anyone know if ohana serves the same coffee as Kona? I really love konas coffee and not sure if they serve the same coffee being that they are located in the same resort

At a lot of TS meals we've been allowed to get coffee & juice at breakfast as well as coffee & soda at dinner. I often ask for coffee with dessert, and it's always been included. I don't think this follows dining plan 'rules', so maybe we've just been lucky. I'd happily pay OOP for the extra beverage, and always expect to, but so far it's been covered by the plan.

I'm a huge coffe drinker but I have to be caffeinated early. I always have it in my refillable mug before our scheduled ADR! Enjoy :)

At Kona, their regular brewed coffee is a Kona blend. Their press pot is 100% Kona.

Allears' menu site doesn't show that there's anything special about Ohana's coffee.

Hey there...

Fellow coffee fanatic and caffeine addict here.

You can refill your up as many times as you want in the resort quick services and food courts.

If you go to a TS for dinner and order a drink, then the coffee is not included. However - some servers will "comp" you for the cup of coffee. Just make sure to throw them a little extra in the tip. :goodvibes

As someone already mentioned, Kona does a press pot that is for 2 people. It's very good. It's a "Kona" blend - but I don't think it's real Kona beans.

Here's a little trick I do. In your room you'll find styrofoam cups. When I see the maid cart, I like to ask for covers and extra cups (or I hide them so that they replenish them.) We're on the meal plan and get the refillable mugs, but I like to keep those mugs for water or Coke Zero. As you know, coffee leaves a distinct taste in mugs - which can ruin it for other drinks. SO - when we go down for breakfast I usually bring the mug as well as a styrofoam cup from the room with the lid. I use my mug for water and fill the cup with coffee.

If we're on the go, I'll either bring the mug back to the room or I'll go sans mug and just bring the cup. I was filling the cup one time without the mug when a CM came by to clean. She looked my way and I said "I'm on the meal plan, I just hate the taste the coffee leaves in the mug." She smiled and goes "I don't care - all the power to ya!"

So yeah, in a long circuitous explanation - use the cups in the room for coffee at the food court. If you feel uncomfortable doing that, bring your mug to show good faith that you are on the meal plan.

By the way - if you drink alcohol try the Tipsy Duck in Love in EPCOT's China pavilion. It's divine.

Ohana Drinks:
Price includes non-specialty drinks such as sodas, coffee, tea, iced tea, lemonade, punch, and milk.

My mother wants her coffee before we leave the room but doesn't want to trek to the FC. She brings her own coffee to brew in the pot in the room and always makes sure she has some bottled water for it too. We hate using the mugs at breakfast at the foodcourt as we like getting on the bus there as its often the first stop at big resorts (thus making sure you get on during busy mornings) and you have no real use for the mugs at the parks. As others said you even get to go cups for those coffee makers, so if we have a breakfast ADR she will take it to go so we can save some time.

With DDP we eat so much food we often don't use snack credits (or I do things like get fruit with my QS meals so I can save for a snack later on). We end up in that case using snack credits for drinks so you could save yours for coffee.
