Are there real differences between the two at VB? Or is it basically location?

We are thinking of staying at VB just wanted to know thank you!

I think the primary difference is location. Both have the microwave, fridge and VCR. The inn rooms have two queen beds, and the studio has a queen and a pull-out couch. We stayed in the Inn last summer and really liked the location. The studios might have better views, and are more secluded.

The inn rooms are rectangular hotel-room shape while the studios are somewhat triangular, like the studios at OKW (but slightly smaller?, I've never been in one at OKW but I've seen the diagrams in the Member Guidebook and they appear to be the same shape as those at VB). You will have a view of the ocean from an ocean-view inn room (duh :) ), while studio views vary. On the first floor of the villas, your view is likely to be plantings around your patio and gardens and walkways while locations on upper floors might include an ocean view. In general, I would say that studio views are less predictable than the ocean view inn rooms. Point cost is the same, but cash ressies are cheaper for studios than for ocean view inn rooms, so it looks like Disney thinks that the ocean views are more desirable to cash customers.

If you request an ocean-view room, you need to book an Inn room. MS won't guarantee the ocean-view in the other studios.

Thank you ! You all have been so helpful! I booked for 4 nights in late June a Deluxe Inn room Ocean View. then we wil mosey over to VWL for 10 days.

Thank you for all the input!

If you were taking kids I'd DEFINATELY go for an Inn room, because you get two "proper" beds. For a couple looking for a quieter time I'd go for a studio ( having the sofa bed gives the feeling of more space with just two of you) and while you can't guarantee what your neighbours are going to be like they should be less noisy.

Just wanted to add a comment. We had a family reunion at VB over Labor Day weekend. It as really wonderful! We had gotten a Beach Cottage for ourselves and both set of grandparents.

Later, one of our relatives wanted to join us so we booked an Inn room with points. Much later,we had another relative ask to join us and when we wanted to get a 2nd Inn room for points, they said nothing was available. We were able to make a reservation with a cash discount and they said it was for a Studio. We received all confirmations and one was for an Inn Room and one for a Studio. They checked in the same day and both ended up in Inn rooms.

We didn't mind because they ended up being close by each other but we were surprised because we did expect one to be in the main building (Inn room) and one to be the vacation homes (Studio).
