I've been a member here for awhile but only lurk on & off, but today the site is helping me with post-DL trip shock and I have to post. My legs and feet are sore beyond belief, and the last couple of days of my trip I really focused on shows and parades because of the discomfort. But I had an amazing time. I realize now that no matter how miserable I may get during isolated moments at Disney, I still love it just because I'm there.
Today I feel like I'm having culture shock. I got home yesterday afternoon and I'm still doing things like trying to go around the handstamp on the back of my left hand when I wash up. I'm easing it a little by looking at other people's pix and reports and planning for my next DL trip. And I'm thinking I need to plan to visit WDW properly next year, I haven't been there in far too long.
OK, a little bit about myself: I'm single, live in Las Vegas, and I have no idea how many times I've been to DL and WDW. They've been a part of my life practically from birth. (WDW opened the same week I was born!) I visit now with family and friends whenever I can, and this recent trip has me wondering why I don't go more often. DL is only 4 and a half hours from my home.
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

You are right...being here is magical....not as magical as the real thing but it helps to be around others who feel the same way.
