delta rewards car rental question

I have a car booked through for our trip Jan 30-Feb 4 through ez rent a car. The cost was $140. My grandmother offered to use her reward miles from her delta credit card to pay for my rental instead. Do the number of miles needed to rent the cars go down just as prices go down when you are booking them through the websites? Trying to decide whether to book now or wait another week to see if prices go down again.

It depends on the rules of the card and the car rental agency, but typically it does not change.

The miles are usually set for the type of car you're renting so the prices going up and down should not affect the mileage you need. I have a Delta credit card but I'm not sure I've booked a rental car on it. I have on my MasterCard and it's set so that 35,000 points = economy for 7 days, 50,000 = SUV for 7 days, etc.
