I always fly Southwest. However, I just booked a flight for my daughter on Delta to fly home from school for winter break. Delta is now doing no change fees and the price of her flight just dropped. Can I cancel and rebook easily like I can on Southwest? The no change fee is new for Delta, so I cannot find any info if I can even do this. Any thoughts or experiences? TIA

The no change fee started earlier this year as it was in effect when I booked in April for my fall trip (September)

I had a flight change and no issues.

Delta has info about it on their website.

I haven't flown with SW in many years so not current on their policies.

I found my answer. Looks like Delta is working just like SW. Just go to “Modify My Trip” and modify it to the same flight and a credit gets issued to the original ticket number.

I just saw this post. Thanks for the no fee modification statement. I just booked a trip for the spring 2 days ago and used points. However, I rechecked my flights last night and it cost less in points now. I modified my flight online with no fee. And, I saved over 8500 points. Plus, I got better flights. What a difference 48 hours makes. Thank you.
