I just booked two trips on Delta from Minneapolis to Orlando for $207.50 roundtrip for each trip. Price includes all taxes and fees. One trip is for October and the another is for March 2004.

I too got 4 tickets for Nov. Last year Delta dropped to $150/rt total price.. doubt that will happen again though. Sure won't complain at $207...

Last year I purchased RT tix on Delta for 205 and then they dropped to 155 a few weeks later. I was able to get credit vouchers for the difference.

Not knowing what airfares are going to do, I figured I'd better grab the 207.50 price. If it goes down, I'll try for vouchers again.

I checked this morning and it looks like this was a short-lived fare - seems it is gone now.

Delta seems to do these one day fare sales every 2-3 months. In March I bought for a June weekend trip for $133 and then kicked myself for not buying for the Nov trip as well. I bought 2 days later for November at $162. I know what you got wasn't as good as mine, but $207 is a good deal considering NWA is up in near $300.

Be sure to check Sun Country's website. They don't subscribe to Orbitz, but they fly Weds and Sat to MCO. I priced a trip in October for a friend and the prices were $237 non-stop. Which I thought was pretty competitive.

Fares for the same itinerary are now $307.50!!!

Does anyone know if Delta sends out emails about these fares, or did we just get lucky? Time to start planning the 04 trips.. would be nice if we got notice of the one day sales :D

Delta doesn't send out e-mails. I was checking Orbitz for my June weekend every day in the morning, after lunch, and in the evening. The sale didn't appear on Orbitz until after lunch, I booked it over on Delta's site to save the fee and by the next day it was gone.

But this is about the right time of the month too, if the pattern stays the same. I just checked my records and I purchased that $133 fare on March 18. yesterday was May 14. So maybe *MAYBE* if the pattern holds true, there might be another MSP-MCO sale in July.

I just got a Fare Watcher alert from Travelocity. ATA has fares MSP to MCO - stopping in MDW - for $213 thru October 15th. Sun Country has non stop fares at $233 - which I would definitely consider had I not been about to get the Delta sale. Air Tran also has a sale going on for $220s I think.

Lots more options for MSP fliers, albeit not many non- stops - but hey, if I can save over $100 to make a stop in Atlanta - I'll stop.

Hi,

Good fare for you on Delta there. Yay

Just a heads up for our MSP'er here on the Dis.

I have been checking HOtwire from MSP to various cities in Florida (not just MCO) this week for summer fares.

Lots of fares in the low 200's. MSP to Tampa was $198. in August.

herc.

The $207.50 fares I booked yesterday are now $520! My daughter and I each had $400 in Delta vouchers, so I had been watching closely for good prices from Delta. It feels great to squeeze two trips out of the vouchers with an out of pocket expense of only $15.00 per person!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I don't know if this will help anyone or not. I booked through Hobitt Travel for the end of this month with their family fares which I believe are good until sometime in June. Our 4 tix cost $776. total. $194/each on a non-stop isn't too bad.

I also noticed last night for you last minute travelers on MLT Vacations you can go either May 24 or 31 for 7 days for $139.99.
