My son called tonight...asking me if I had listened to our "local" radio station...He said it was suggested that anyone having Delta Sky Miles..should use them up as quickly as possible....Yes..I know they filed...but, I thought the Sky Miles I still have left would be ok...Am I wrong? Should I worry? I have been trying to get my sister to go for a quick trip the end of this month...to go on Expedition Everest (Annual Passers)....and use up some of my sky miles...but, she said since we were there in October and December...and we are going again in February............It would be a bit much.... :cool1: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :chat: If my husband went with me...he wouldn't be able to ride it since he doesn't have an annual pass.... :hyper2:
Is there something recently new about Delta that I don't know about....or what my son heard...could possibly just have been one or two person's opinions? :confused3

We heard this news too, in September, and we booked our upcoming trip in 30 days :teeth: using the rest of our frequent flyer miles. Why not call Delta and ask them? Perhaps I am naive, but maybe they can tell you. Perhaps someone else here will know something....

I would suggest going to a great forum for the airlines. www.flyertalk.com Go to miles and points, then the airlines, go to the Delta forum. They will be able to give you all sorts of great information. I wouldn't burn your miles just yet.

I hope not cuz I just signed the rest of my family up for miles and I don't have enough to use yet.

Thank You...I looked on the "Flyer Talk" Forum...and didn't see anything in the way of people being concerned about "losing" their sky miles....Just about everything else was on there...So...I feel some what better about it.... :sunny: ::yes:: :flower3:

I don't think you will lose your miles, the biggest problem you will have is trying to redeem them. Depending on the destination, it's hard to get frequent flyer tickets unless you book them many months ahead. If you are looking at later this month, I doubt you will find any available unless you have enough miles for a non-restricted ticket.

I heard somewhere this week that there is a rumor of Delta and Northwest merging.

I have started to notice that too....and...they are mostly "SKY CHOICE"....which would mean using 50,000 a ticket... :sad1:
