Delta flight change question

I booked a flight on Delta through Expedia. I guess Delta cancelled the first outbound flight and put us on a different one. The connection will not work (they have the connection leaving before the initial outbound arrives) Also, the arrival is several hours later. Will Delta just refund due to the change and I can find something else, or will they only put me on new flights at other times?

I'm not at all sure you can deal with Delta directly. You may have to deal with Expedia since they booked it for you.
I guess you can call Delta and see what they say though. They might just offer to put you on completely different flights. If there is one that works better for you, ask for it. Even if it costs more, they may let you book it at no addtl cost. That's what happened for me. Delta cancelled my flight, and tried to combine two flights that were almost completely full..not sure how they thought double the number of people were going to fit on one plane. I was able to get on the flight I originally wanted but didn't book since it was so much more expensive.

goofy4tink is right, you'll most likely have to deal with Expedia on changing flights. That's one of the down sides of booking with websites like that.

Everything worked out fine. I phoned SkyMiles and they moved us to a flight at an earlier time. They reissued the e ticket and we arrive eay at our destination

Glad it worked out! The last 2 times I flew Delta to Orlando on miles, I gambled and took flights with lower miles with times I wasn't crazy about. Sure enough, both times they had schedule changes and I was able to move to better flights without paying more.

Terrific!!! Keep an eye on those Delta flights....they make so many changes it drives me nutty!!
