I just got RT tickets on Delta from Louisville KY for 188 pp. That is about a hundred dollars cheaper than what the exact same tickets were last week. I just looked today out of habit and the price had decreased significantly, I snatched them up. I don't know if it is a sale or a reduction but I am pumped! :woohoo:

I noticed that last week. We are using our frequent flyer miles, but DD's friend has decided to come with us, so I was checking online to give her an idea of the cost of the air.

However, we originally booked leaving Aug. 15 on a non-stop flight from SDF to MCO, leaving at 7 am and arriving around 9 am. We've taken that flight before and I really like it. Delta cancelled that flight on that one day! :sad2:
I checked every other day of that week and it's still available. Just on Tuesday they don't have it anymore. So I'm trying to decide if I should keep the flight they changed us to, which leaves at 6:30 am and arrives at 10:30 or try to change it, or wait to see if they put the 7 am flight back in their schedule. :rolleyes2 But we'll have a great time regardless! :thumbsup2

OMG. Big drop in ours. $218 now $168! Any reason for such a sale or price reduction? Are they still having problems?
We are currently planning to drive, but this is SO tempting...
a 2 hour non-stop flight vs. a 12 hour driving time car trip with high gas prices.

We are on that 7AM non stop, we fly it every year and I love it. They got rid of my 9PM direct flight home though, I miss that.

I'm not sure why the decrease occurred, but I know Delta did match a recent Airtran sale. Most routes that Airtran flies went on sale and the next day Delta matched them for the routes they are both within.

Might be the reason, I'm not sure if this is one of those routes. :)

Likely, a good guess. My flight does have an exact AirTran route match.

That wouldn't be the case for us, AirTran doesn't fly out of Louisville.

I had heard that Delta was having problems? Is it safe for us to book with them for November returning in December??? Or could we run into problems? I certainly would not want to be without a flight at that time of year. What is everyones thoughts?

Angel - You should be clear for take off with Delta. :teeth: I have them booked for my June and July trips. I also have been using them for my business trips. I noticed a drop for my July flight when I went back to change my flights yesterday. It was about a bit over $150 dollars less for the same itinerary I priced out last week without the change fee. :confused3 But I'll take it. :rotfl: I'm glad I was still debating whether or not to go at 1 p.m. or 2 p.m.

Thank you VAGAL, I'll look into it today or tomorrow. :thumbsup2 I really don't want to fly Southwest and do the cattle call thing. I like to have a seat reserved and know where we will be.

Thanks, ::popcorn: ::popcorn: - new smilie...cool
