Delta experts please help

We have flights book for September using sky miles awards. Now with free dining coming out on Monday we want to change our dates.

What can I expect from Delta? What kind of rules are on awards? Can we switch dates or just purchase tickets and use these within a year?

Based on the fare rules, you may have to pay a service fee and/or a difference in fare. For travel within the 50 United States, the fee is $50 for Delta flights.

I was charged the change fee when I switched my flights that I'd booked using my miles. If the flight you want uses more miles then you will have to redeposit your miles to use them again. They have a section on their web site that under book travel award or something to that effect to see how what's available and the amount of miles it would take.

Basically it's $50 to change the flight or $50 to redeposit the miles into your account so you can use them later.

If you booked using SkySaver you can only do Skysaver on avaialble flights or you will have to pony up more miles for SkyChoice.
