Delta Expert Needed

I'm counting down the days until we can book our trip for April 2003. I have a Delta question.

On Delta you can book 331 days in advance. In the past, Delta would allow you to book one way from BDL to Florida for the same fare as the one for that same leg if you were booking round trip. For instance, if you wanted to fly Delta (or Delta Express) to MCO for President's Week next February, you could book flights for Saturday February 15, 2003 at this point, but not your return a week later on Saturday, February 22, 2003 (since that date is more than 331 days away - you have to wait until this coming Thursday, March 8th).

Checking fares on Delta.com, they are quoting the one way fare as the same as the round trip fare. Is this just a web site glitch? Or has Delta changed their policy?

I'm anxious because I do not want the lowest fare for the leg down to sell out before I can book the return. Last year we paid just $166 per person R/T from BD for Pesident's week. This year we paid $300 per person R/T (times 4 adds up!) because I waited a month longer than I should have.

Any Delta experts out there?

It sounds like you might be flying Delta express. They work a little differently than Delta and sometimes the one way is just half of the full fare. I would call them and ask if you can get that fare. I have purchased fairly inexpensive one way fares on the Express that I could not get on Delta.
