We are leaving for WDW Friday morning and we are flying Delta. We each will have 1 small 21" rolling suitcase. My boys would each like to have a small backpack with a few toys and I would like one to carry our camera and my purse and a few snacks. Is this considered our 1 personal item? Has anyone had a problem bringing on a backpack as a personal item? TIA

Backpacks are fine. My kids do this every year in addition to their rolling suitcases. We fly out on Delta Wednesday and I am sure that once again, the backpacks will be coming.

The roll-aboards should be fine if you are putting them in the overhead compartments. The backpacks will need to be small enough to fit under the seats in front of you.

we flew nwa (now delta) wont do it again
but they had no problem with us haveing one carry on bag and either a backpack or laptop bag

We fly Delta and we haven't ever had a problem with carry-on bags. We use a rolling bag and either another backpack or large tote bag. We have done this the last three years and have never had a problem. They sometimes will check the size of your bag as youu are boarding the plane though. Have a great trip!
